[ESDC] ORGANIZUJEMY: Bruksela, Belgia: Cyberbezpieczeństwo i prawo międzynarodowe - warsztat ekspercki 2023

In the week of January 23-25, 2023, an expert workshop on cybersecurity and international law was held in Brussels, bringing together participants from EU member states and third-party countries. Over 30 participants, including civilians and military personnel, who work in various fields related to national and international law concerning cybersecurity, joined the event. The attendees, from countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Macedonia, Belgium, and Austria, had the opportunity to exchange views and share best practices on topics related to cyberspace, expanding their knowledge, skills, and competencies in the process.

Lodz Cyber Hub at the University of Lodz had the honor of co-organizing this important event for the first time in collaboration with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC). The workshop provided a practical approach to applying international law in cyberspace, focusing on current geopolitical challenges and their pragmatic solutions.

Among the experts invited to lead the workshop were top specialists in international law within cyberspace, representing institutions such as the University of Oxford, Chatham House, the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) in Tallinn, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), King’s College London, the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) at Europol, the European Commission, the European External Action Service, and technical internet governance organizations such as RIPE NCC and ICANN.
