As part of the research project “The Belt and Road Initiative in Developing Countries: The People’s Republic of China as a Multilateral and Normative Entity” financed by the National Science Centre, Prof. Dominik Mierzejewski, Dr. Bartosz Kowalski, Dr. Jarosław Jura and Prof. Mario Esteban held a series of meetings in Washington think tanks and conducted two seminars devoted to the project’s issues. The research results were presented at a public seminar at George Washington University’s Sigur Center for Asian Studies. The meeting was led by Dr. Eric Schluessel, director of the Sigur Center, and Prof. Robert Sutter. The meeting gathered around 60 participants, including decision-makers and scientists from other universities. The meeting was recorded by C-SPAN – the official television station covering sessions of the American Congress. At Georgetown University, the talks were held in a more intimate group of students and PhD students of the university.
