From June 28 to July 2, prof. Mierzejewski and Dr. Kowalski participated in The 13th Interpretive Policy Analysis conference, where they presented the research results of the NCN grant "The Belt and Road Initiative in Developing Countries: The People's Republic of China as a Multilateral and Normative Entity" conducted with Dr. Jaroslaw Jura and Dr. Mario Esteban. In the panel "Discourse as an Interface in the study of Interactions between China and the World: Foreign Policy, Narratives, and Diplomacy," they presented an analysis of "Mobilization by 'flaming enthusiasm': China's discursive strategies in the developing world." Among the main themes of China's discourse and narrative strategies, they included elements of mobilizing countries in the Global South to support Beijing on the international stage, generate enthusiasm for Xi Jinping's domestic policies, and attract new resources.
