- The Polish Association of Centers for Technology Transfer PACTT gathers together all leading centres for technology transfer from the major Polish scientific units. The Association plays a very important role not only in integration and professionalisation of the whole environment, but it also has an impact on creating Polish innovative policy. Being elected a member of the Coordination Board of PACTT is a great success of the University of Lodz and is a token of appreciation of achievements and position of the UL Centre for Technology Transfer – says Adam Kaźmierczak, Head of CTT, UL.
In November CTT UL, together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as well as with the National Information Processing Institute, National Research Institute organized a conference of the Polish Association of Centers for Technology Transfer (PACCT). 9th Conference of PACCT was organized, due to the pandemic situation, in an online mode.
- Participants of the conference were welcomed by prof. Agnieszka Kurczewska, the Vice-Rector for External Relations, UL and by Jarosław Protasiewicz, PhD, the Head of the National Information Processing Institute in a specially prepared video. The first day of the conference focused mostly on the speeches of representatives of the ministries: the Ministry of Education and Science as well as the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy. Particular attention was paid to the role of technology transfer in Poland in building a stable economic growth and knowledge-base society – reports Adam Kaźmierczak.
He also adds:
- The second day of the conference was traditionally focused on the exchange of experiences between members of PACTT pertaining to the carried out projects and issues related to commercialisation of R&D in the scientific environment.
The next PACTT conference along with PACTT SCIENCE BUSINESS INNOVATION EXPO 2021 is taking place in May 2021.
