As part of the research on Chinese policy towards developing countries, prof. Mierzejewski and Dr. Jarosław Jura held talks and interviews in South Africa. During the two-week visit, talks took place, among others, at the South African Institute for International Studies, the Institute for Pan-African Studies and Conversation and the University of South Africa. In addition, the subject of China's presence was discussed during meetings with representatives of foreign missions in Pretoria and with independent experts. Prof. Mierzejewski and Dr. Jarosław Jura also participated in three conferences and workshops on Chinese activity in Africa. The grant is implemented under the UMO 2019/33/B/HS5/01667 contract.
