We would like to invite you to the Faculty Seminar, which will be held on Monday, 27 January 2025, at 10:15 a.m. in the Small Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics, University of Lodz. During the seminar, Prof. dr hab. Witold Pedrycz from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, will deliver a lecture entitled: "Bringing Knowledge to Design and Analysis in Machine Learning".

During his lecture, Prof. Pedrycz will discuss issues related to the progress in the field of Machine Learning (ML), including the role of data and knowledge in the design and analysis of ML methods and the challenges related to the interpretability, stability and transparency of models.
