Cultural expertise is a new concept in the social sciences that is defined as specialist knowledge deployed e.g., by experts in law, sociology, culture in order to assist decision-making authorities in conflict resolution (e.g., expert information, so-called ethical reports on the socio-legal background of facts and the role of people involved). It is an organisation that brings together experts from many countries and representing various legal systems.
- My participation in the CULTEXP ethics committee, as an independent expert (a member of advisory committee), will involve the analysis and evaluation of ethical reports and providing advice and consultation on issues of the right to privacy and personal data processing – explains Dr. Edyta Bielak-Jomaa.
CULTEXP has been recently chosen to verify the European Research Council 2020 concept. On June 1, 2021 a new action was launched to establish CULTEXP as a social enterprise with a legitimate objective.
Dr Edyta Bielak-Jomaa works at the Faculty of Law and Administration, at the Department of Labour Law. She is an expert in personal data protection, at the University of Lodz she also performs the function of the Data Protection Officer.
