The BioLAB programme is intended for MA and doctoral students of biological-chemical, biophysical, medical and related sciences, such as biology, biochemistry, biophysics, bioinformatics, biotechnology, physics, pharmacy, medicine, etc.
It allows students to complete a one-year traineeship at one of the four host institutions in the U.S.:
- University of Virginia, Charlottesville,
- University of Chicago, Chicago,
- University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas,
- Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Oklahoma City.
During the traineeship, students conduct independent research in modern laboratories, the results of which are often published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. In addition, they take an active part in the life of the American university, participate in seminars, guest lectures and learn about American culture. In some cases, the research outcomes may be suitable for inclusion in, or publication as part of, the candidate’s Master’s or doctoral dissertation.
The programme is addressed both to persons with Polish citizenship and to international students who have completed BA studies at a Polish university.
Applications are accepted until 1 February 2025.
