[LEOs] ORGANIZUJEMY: Kostaryka, San Jose: Ewolucja technologii komunikacyjnych: satelity, systemy kwantowe i kable podmorskie

During RightsCon 2023 we had the honor of presenting our session titled 🛰️ "Evolutions in connectivity: satellites, quantum systems, and the seas" 🛰️ focused on the global governance of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite broadband.

Together with Prof. Berna Akcali Gur (QMUL), we presented the key findings of our Internet Society Foundation report, which sheds light on the international law aspects of Low Earth Orbit satellite deployment. Our report explores the implications of this deployment for the #multistakeholder model of internet governance, providing valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities it brings and complements the work done by Internet Society on LEO technologies available here: https://lnkd.in/eT24Pst3.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the participants at #RightsCon for their active engagement and thought-provoking discussions. Without their valuable contributions, this session would not have been as impactful. Special thanks are due to our co-panellists for an insightful discussion: Jonathan S. Parhusip #MohRofiqudin Valery Alzaga Amie Stepanovich. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Access Now team for their support and collaboration in organizing this session.
